Learning to play in a group!

This year, Drums&Co.ch School is offering a series of four workshops for adults to learn how to play in a group.

These workshops will take place on:

– Saturday, November 15, 2025

– Saturday, January 17, 2026

– Saturday, March 14, 2026

– Saturday, May 30, 2026

The goal of these workshops is to play two or three songs as a group and perform them at our traditional Student Festival on June 6, 2026.

The instruments offered are vocals, piano, guitar, bass, and drums.

For this series of workshops, we offer the following program:

– A rhythmic music theory class that will serve as a tool to help set up the songs (breaks, stops, rhythmic patterns, etc.)

– A sub-group class to work on and consolidate rhythmic cohesion (bass-drums, guitar-keyboard, vocals-piano, singers-backing vocals, etc.)

– A group playing class to pool what has been learned in the morning, work on the chosen pieces, and practice stage performance

The schedule for each day is as follows :

Workshop location: at our school, Drums&Co.ch, at 9-11 chemin du 23-août – 1205 Geneva
(Jonction eco-neighborhood)

4 groups of 4 participants

Prerequisites (1 or more of the following criteria):

– The participant has acquired the basics of their instrument: has already taken
a few instrument lessons or is self-taught

– They may or may not have some knowledge of music theory

– They can play a piece of music from start to finish

Resources available: the School’s classrooms are equipped with the necessary instruments, microphones, and sound systems.

Guitarists and bassists must bring their own instruments (jacks and amplifiers are provided).

Price: CHF 680 for the series of workshops
