Dean Crimmins
Guitar and bass teacher

A guitar teacher for over twenty years, Dean Crimmins trained at the Jazz School in St. Gallen before specializing in orchestration and film music at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. Holding a master’s degree in music and pedagogy (SMPV), he has taught in Switzerland (notably at the Zurich Conservatory of Music), New York, Jerusalem, and Egypt, working with students of all ages and levels.

His lessons, taught in French, German, and English, cover a wide range of styles (jazz, classical, rock, pop) and focus on the joy of playing and each student’s personal goals.

At the same time, Dean pursues a career as a guitarist and composer. He has collaborated with renowned musicians—members of Rod Stewart’s, Cyndi Lauper’s, and Blondie’s bands, as well as the Kenny Garrett Group and the NBC Saturday Night Live Show Band (SNL)—and composes music for theater and television.
